The Museum of Modern Art’s Annual Armory Party to Feature a Live Performance by BØRNS on March 7

The Museum of Modern Art will host The Armory Party, a benefit event with live music and DJs celebrating the opening of The Armory Show and Armory Arts Week, on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. The Armory Show is New York’s premier art fair and a definitive cultural destination for discovering and collecting the world’s most important 20th- and 21st-century artworks. The evening reception, along with the daytime Early Access Preview at Piers 92 and 94, benefits MoMA’s exhibition programming.

The 2018 Armory Party runs from 9:00 p.m. to midnight, and features access to Collection Galleries 1800s-1950s. A VIP Hour, held from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m., includes access to The Long Run and Tarsila do Amaral: Inventing Modern Art in Brazil, in addition to The Armory Party at 9:00 p.m.

BØRNS will perform a live set in the Museum’s Agnes Gund Garden Lobby. BØRNS released his debut album Dopamine in 2015 to rave reviews with the Associated Press calling it “some of the most heartfelt electronic-based music in recent memory,” while Spin noted that BØRNS “writes brilliant pop songs that worm their way into your heart in an instant.” Following the smash success of platinum-selling single “Electric Love” BØRNS has performed at major festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo, in addition to headlining a sold-out theater tour in 2016. BØRNS’ highly anticipated new album, Blue Madonna, was recently released in January 2018.
