God in Three Persons and a Brief History of The Residents

January 24, 2020 – January 28, 2020

The Museum of Modern Art

MoMA presents the world-premiere live performance of the Residents’ landmark 1988 album God in Three Persons, along with a two-part compilation of videos created by the legendary art collective. From Third Reich ’n Roll (1976) to Dyin’ Dog (2019), these programs chart the evolution of “the most mysterious band in the world,” including their notable collaborations with video artists John Sanborn and Bill Domonkos.

Please visit MoMA.org for performance details

Organized at The Museum of Modern Art by Ron Magliozzi, Curator, and Sophie Cavoulacos, Assistant Curator, Department of Film; performances produced by Sean Egan, Senior Producer, Film Exhibitions and Projects, with Carson Parish, Theater Manager.
