Modern Matinees: Jack Lemmon

January 01, 2020 – February 28, 2020

The Museum of Modern Art

When you stop to consider the range of Jack Lemmon’s five decades long screen career, one word comes to mind: versatility. Hapless cross dresser, fussy roommate, desperate alcoholic, compassionate naval officer  and the voice of Simpson’s character Jack Ormand, Lemmon excelled at all of these distinctive and unforgettable characters.

Organized by Anne Morra, Associate Curator, Department of Film.
