Warm Up, MoMA PS1’s iconic music series, returns for its 25th season this summer with electronic music and DJ sets from 5 to 10 p.m. on six Friday evenings in July and August. Crossing eclectic genres, tempos, and styles, this season’s program highlights a range of performers from New York City and beyond. Each evening will begin with sonic experimentation, building to late-night breakbeats over four distinct sets.
This year’s lineup includes artists such as Paris-based DJ/producer Crystallmess, known for experimental dance music; influential New York DJ Bobby Beethoven, who performed as Total Freedom at Warm Up in 2014 and 2017; Congolese-Belgian electronic musician Nkisi; legendary DJ and producer Frankie Bones, recognized for his influence in the underground New York rave scene; queer nightlife icon Pauli Cakes; Jersey club luminary DJ Sliink; lyrical vocalist Embaci; and Fatherhood, the collaborative project between Michael Magnan and Daniel Fisher. Warm Up 2023 is organized by MoMA PS1 and led by Kari Rittenbach, Assistant Curator, with Nick Scavo, Senior Project Manager, Music, Performance, and Events.
