MoMA Presents: Rebecca Miller’s Mr. Scorsese
May 27, 2026 – May 31, 2026
The Museum of Modern Art
Originally conceived as a pandemic-era filmed conversation between filmmakers, Rebecca Miller’s Mr. Scorsese blossomed into a simultaneously epic and intimate five-part exploration of Martin Scorsese’s life and work. With every interview Miller delves deeper into the origins and inspirations of one of cinema’s brightest minds. Ranging from Scorsese’s hardscrabble roots on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, to his tumultuous early years of struggle and success (both professional and personal), to the global influence he wields today, this is a cinematic portrait truly worthy of its subject.
Organized by Rajendra Roy, The Celeste Bartos Chief Curator of Film.
