Sundays with Steven

November 01, 2026 – December 06, 2026

The Museum of Modern Art

In celebration of the work of Steven Spielberg, honoree of the 2026 MoMA Film Benefit, we have partnered with the legendary filmmaker on a program of six Sunday double features. Each screening, chosen by Spielberg, pairs one of his films with another that influenced or inspired it. His earliest feature, Duel, screens in a new restoration. Other films include his 2021 West Side Story alongside the 1961 original; blockbuster Spielberg favorites like Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark; and his 21st-century political dramas Munich and Bridge of Spies paired with with classics The Day of the Jackal and The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, respectively. Sundays with Steven provides a fascinating look into a the artistic inspirations of a great filmmaker.

Organized by Sean Egan, Senior Producer, Department of Film
